Frequently asked questions

What exactly does the MRP in Jovi ERP do?

MRP works out material requirements from the bill of materials together with open work orders, stock on hand and lead times: what is needed, how much, and by when. Shortfalls become purchase requisitions. When the master production schedule changes, the requirement list is recalculated.

Is this factory automation software?

No. Jovi ERP is the production planning and tracking layer; it is not PLC, SCADA or machine control software. It does not drive machines — it plans what those machines will build, runs the work orders and tracks the result. It sits above your existing automation, on the planning side.

How does production connect to inventory and quality?

Opening a work order creates a material reservation in the inventory module, in-process checks land in the quality module, and finished output enters stock as semi-finished or finished goods. Because all three share one data model, cost, scrap and delivery date are read from the same record.

Which production models does it suit?
