What is needed to start tracking factory stock?

Warehouse and location definitions, stock cards and barcode scan points. Once those exist, goods receipt, warehouse transfer, issue to production and dispatch all read from the same movement record. When a count comes out short, the record shows which movement was never entered.

How does lot and serial tracking work?

Mark a stock card as lot- or serial-tracked and every inbound movement carries a lot number, which is then followed through production, packing and dispatch. If a recall is needed, one query returns which work orders used that lot and which customers received it.

What does the AI layer do here?

It reads seasonality and movement speed together to suggest when to reorder, flags slowing items as dead-stock risk early, surfaces lots approaching their shelf-life limit, and proposes warehouse layout changes. Every suggestion is shown with the reasoning behind it.

Does it work with handheld scanners?

Yes. Barcode and RFID integration is part of the module; goods receipt, transfers and stock counts can be run from a handheld terminal. Count results land straight in the reconciliation screen with no separate import step.
